As a self‑declared advocate for AI adoption, I want to stay grounded in the very real, intelligent, and objective criticisms of this still‑fledgling technology. This grounding is what I believe will differentiate Placid Works from its competition and help fulfill the promise of taking an incremental, measured, and pragmatic approach to AI. Two recent media items, in particular, sharpened my thinking.

I was very excited to read that m365maps is getting an update! I’ve used m365maps for many years to help make sense of M365 licensing plans and entitlements.

As of today, Claude is now available in M365 Copilot with Anthropic as a subprocessor  for Microsoft Online Services. This is another huge step Microsoft has made to follow through on the commitment to be multi-model.

Most organizations rely on Microsoft products or cloud services in some capacity every day. I’ll explain why waiting doesn’t make sense and why adopting Copilot now is the smartest move.
